How I came out to my dad......

Sometimes coming out to your dad can be the hardest, especially if you are a guy... here's how one guy did it.

Coming Out to My Best Friend

How did your friends handle it when you came out? What about your best friend?

Coming Out is a Continual Process

You will have to come out your whole life. It's all a matter of choice though. Do you want to be real and honest or hide who you truly are inside? The people that are going to be an ass... well they don't matter. And the people that will love you, that is the greatest gift you could ask for.

"When I Came Out, There Were No Closets"

Who was the first person you told? DO you wish you told someone else? How did they react? It's a good idea to go to someone that you can trust. In this video, the maker of this film's first person she came out to was her sister.

"I Must Just Be Curious...."

They may tell you that you are "just curious"... uh, think again.... If the signs keep coming up... yeah.... Here's one girl's story of how she heard, she was "just curious", but later realized it was more.

"6th Grade Was When I started Feeling 'Funny' About Girls"

When did you know you were gay? I think we all, always knew, but didn't really know there was a term for it, cause I presume most of our parents did not explain "gay" to us.

When did you come out? 13? 20? 46? 80? Never? What was it like at whatever age you came out? are you glad that you came out at that age? Wish you waited? Wish you did it sooner? Or was it perfect timing? This guy came out in 8th grade:

"Hello, I am 46 and a bisexual, is it too late to come out?" It's never too late to come out. Listen what this life coach has to say about the issue of coming out at a late age:

"I Am No Different Than You Are"

A lot of times when we come out to our friends and our relatives and our parents, they sometimes act negatively toward what they have just heard. They all of a sudden get a shock because they think that we are different than them; but, we aren't. Here is one bisexual man's video on coming out.

This is Who I Am.

Why should we have to hide who we are? Who we truly are inside? That's not healthy for anyone. It's like nature... for example... if a bird said she was a monkey all her life... because everyone was a monkey around her... people would obviously know... but the wouldn't want to know because people are afraid of what is different from themselves. The thing is, once people start to realize that you are the same old person, they will realize it's not so bad to come out as who you truly are.

Here is an interesting movie that will get you thinking....

Coming Out As Bisexual....

"I'm thinking about coming out as a bisexual... I'm afraid I will loose all my friends... what should I do?" -- One reader wrote. You will always have friends. No matter if you are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. Yes, you may not have the same ones you did have... but truly the ones that actually matter are the ones that will accept you for who you are. Here's a video of support for all, who are thinking of coming out but are afraid of losing their friends. You can do it!

"I told my mom I was gay...."

Sometimes coming out can be humorous at how others take it. It really is a silly thing that our society has come to believe that anything other that heterosexuality is wrong. Why is it wrong to be who we are? Here is a funny video about how a lesbian that came out to her mom, turned a negative experience into a positive one. You rock!
